General Information
The New Blues Festival takes place August 29–30, 2026 at Shoreline Aquatic Park, 200 Aquarium Way, Long Beach, CA 90802. The festival runs Labor Day Weekend with two full days of live blues and roots music on multiple stages.
The New Blues Festival is a premier music event celebrating blues and roots music, featuring award-winning artists, emerging talent, food and beverage vendors, and a vibrant community atmosphere. Now in its 10th year, it is Southern California's definitive waterfront blues festival.
Gates typically open late morning, with music continuing into the evening both days. Exact gate times will be announced closer to the festival date.
Tickets & Admission
Pricing varies by tier — General Admission, Gold Pass, and VIP Pass. Purchase online at newbluesfestival.com/tickets. Children under 12 enter free with a paid adult ticket.
Yes, unless the event sells out in advance. We highly recommend purchasing early to secure your spot and skip the lines on festival day.
Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferable. Refer to the full ticket policy on our ticketing page or your purchase confirmation.
Yes. Children under the age of 12 receive free admission with a paid adult ticket.
Re-entry is allowed with a Gold or VIP pass. You must go through security screening each time.
Food & Drink
Absolutely. A variety of local food trucks, vendors, and bars offering beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the festival grounds the entire weekend.
Outside prepared food is not allowed unless you have a medical condition. Sealed water bottles and empty reusable water bottles are welcome. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.
Parking & Transportation
Parking is available at the Pike Parking Garage, 65 South Cedar Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802. The garage is a short walk from the festival entrance.
Yes. The festival is easily accessible via Long Beach Transit. Visit ridelbt.com for routes and schedules. Ride share drop-off is also available near the venue.
Accessibility & Comfort
Yes. The festival is ADA compliant with designated parking, pathways, and accessible restrooms. For additional accommodations, email newbluesfestival2025@gmail.com.
Limited seating is provided near stage areas. Guests are encouraged to bring small, low-back chairs or blankets for comfort on the grass.
Only service animals are permitted. Please leave pets at home for their safety and comfort — festival environments can be overwhelming for animals.
Safety & Weather
Yes. Security personnel will be present throughout the event. All guests and bags are subject to search upon entry. See our Rules page for the full list of prohibited items.
The festival is rain or shine. Please dress accordingly and bring weather-appropriate gear. Southern California August weather is typically sunny and warm.
